gnome-tweak-tool software package provides tool to adjust advanced configuration settings for GNOME, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool
gnome-tweak-tool is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-tweak-tool package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-tweak-tool *
You will get with gnome-tweak-tool package name, version, architecture and description in a table
